Job summary

HealthDrive Corporation seeks a Nurse Practitioner to manage medical needs of skilled nursing residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. You will diagnose, treat, and promote health in collaboration with medical staff, serving as a primary contact for emergencies and routine visits.

The role includes conducting exams, interpreting labs, coordinating care, and participating in a 3-week paid training program to prepare for independent patient care. No nights or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• State professional Nurse Practitioner license.
• Board Certification required.
• DEA/Controlled Substance License.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and with on-site staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and preventative care for residents in an assigned facility.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications.
• Oversee patients’ overall health.
