Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to manage medical needs of skilled nursing residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. Responsibilities include primary, post-acute, and preventive care, with emphasis on independent practice and collaboration with on-site staff.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in nursing, NP license, board certification, DEA license, and a valid driver’s license; strong communication and geriatric care experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college/university is required.
• State professional Nurse Practitioner license is required.
• Board Certification is required.
• DEA/Controlled Substance License is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work independently and with staff are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, post-acute, and preventative care for residents in an assigned facility.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications.
• Oversee patients’ overall health.
