Job summary

HealthDrive Corporation seeks a Nurse Practitioner to manage medical needs of skilled nursing residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. This full-time role involves diagnosing, treating, and coordinating care with on-site staff, with a focus on independent practice in collaboration with administrators.

The APRN will conduct exams, interpret labs, oversee patient health, and participate in a 3-week paid training program with mentorship to ensure readiness for success.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in nursing and an active NP license.
• Board certification and a valid DEA license are required.
• Experience in gerontology, acute care, cardiology, internal medicine, or endocrinology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, post-acute, and preventative care for residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses and propose treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with on-site staff and serve as the primary contact for emergencies.
