Job summary

Now Optics in Roswell, NM is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive eye care and integrative optometric services in a surgical-leaning eyecare center.

The ideal candidate holds an active NM NP license, DEA, and 2+ years of NP experience (ophthalmology preferred). You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, co-manage ocular conditions, and participate in clinic operations and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in NM
• DEA registration or NM eligibility
• MSN or DNP from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years NP experience; ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing and refraction assessments
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions including dry eye, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, glaucoma co-management, and diabetic eye disease
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, LASIK, and other procedures
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography)
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and participate in quality improvement
