Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group in Farmington, NM seeks a Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our eyecare center. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, manage ocular conditions, and co-manage post-operative care in collaboration with ophthalmologists. This on-site role requires NM NP licensure and current DEA registration.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team using advanced imaging, while promoting integrative eye care and patient education to support eye health and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in New Mexico.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical NP experience; ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing and refraction assessments.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions (dry eye, conjunctivitis, glaucoma co-management, etc.).
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when needed.
