Job summary

Brookwood Baptist Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Operations Manager to oversee a designated unit, blending nursing practice with administrative oversight. You will share leadership with the Nursing Operations Manager, drive patient experience, budgets, HR activities, and quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in Alabama (or NLC), a BSN with advanced degree preferred, and at least two years of acute RN experience.

Qualifications

• BSN required if no MSN.
• MSN, DNP, or BSN with graduate degree in business or health preferred.
• Two years of RN experience in an acute setting.
• Current RN license in Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC.

Responsibilities

• Shared 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
• Participates in recruitment and selection of new team members.
• Coordinates with HR on corrective action and career advancement.
• Oversees staff schedules to ensure proper coverage.
• Oversees patient flow and outcomes; participates in rounds and quality initiatives.
• Leads meetings and huddles; models professional behavior.
• Performs direct patient care as needed and protects patient rights and confidentiality.
