Brookwood Baptist Health in Homewood, AL seeks an Assistant Nurse Operations Manager to oversee nursing practice and administrative functions on a designated unit. You will guide operations, budget, HR actions, and quality outcomes, partnering with the Nursing Operations Manager to lead a collaborative team.

You will participate in recruitment, performance reviews, patient flow optimization, and process improvements while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience and staff development.

Qualifications

• BSN required if no MSN.
• RN licensure in AL or NLC.
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Shared 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
• Participates in recruitment and selection of new team members.
• Coordinates with HR on corrective action and career advancement.
• Investigates event reports and provides feedback to leadership and teams.
• Oversees unit schedules for appropriate staffing.
• Manages patient flow to achieve outcomes.
• Performs Nurse Leader rounds to ensure standards.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensures excellent customer experience and service recovery.
• Interfaces with patients and families for instruction and care coordination.
• Leads staff meetings and huddles; demonstrates ownership.
• Performs direct patient care as needed.
• Upholds confidentiality and professional conduct.
