JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Nurse Manager facilitates the realization of the organization's mission, strategic plan, and values at the point of care. Plans for, leads, coordinates and facilitates the provision of quality care and service for a defined population of patients and facilitates the procurement of appropriate supplies/equipment and provides for adequate numbers and mix of staff to deliver nursing care. The Nurse Manager demonstrates excellence in problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork. The Nurse Manager provides leadership, consultation and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary teaching environment. They collaborate with administrators and other members of the health care team to design, evaluate and improve patient care systems and processes.
This position will be responsible for the virtual care program for UVM Health including virtual nursing and remote observation. This position will report up through the Care Coordination System and is part of the strategic initiative for Virtual Care. This position is monitoring the impact of this program and our ROI for this technology.
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required. BSN required. Master's Degree preferred, preferably in nursing management or a related health field.
Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience. Healthcare leadership experience.
