Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Nurse Manager for the 24/7 practice to lead nursing operations across defined inpatient units. You will plan, direct, and evaluate staffing, budgeting, and quality initiatives to ensure safe patient care around the clock.

The role requires a nursing degree (BSN/MSN/DNP preferred) with a minimum of three years in nursing leadership and an active RN license. Salary is competitive with opportunities for professional growth within Mayo Clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate, master’s, or doctorate nursing program; master's or doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of three years of nursing practice or progressive leadership experience.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability; experience in the department's specialty preferred; management experience preferred.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Maintains Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers; ACLS and PALS per unit guidelines; additional state licensure or specialty certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate operational, fiscal, and personnel activities within defined areas of practice to ensure quality patient care 24 hours a day.
• Lead the nurse manager 24/7 practice in alignment with Mayo Clinic's vision, mission and values.
• Oversee one or more inpatient units, allocate resources to promote safe, effective nursing care.
• Promote ongoing staff development and maintain a professional environment for growth.
• Coordinate collaboration between nursing staff and other health care disciplines across the organization.
