Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Nurse Manager for 24/7 practice to lead nursing operations and support the Department of Nursing in achieving quality patient care around the clock.

The role requires demonstrated leadership, a nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher, and current RN licensure. Experience in leadership and Mayo Clinic familiarity are preferred; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate, master’s, or doctorate nursing program, master’s or doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of three years of nursing practice or progressive leadership experience required.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Management experience preferred.
• Preferred Education: ACEN or CCNE accredited master’s in nursing or DNP program.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• Maintains Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS).
• Maintains ACLS and PALS per unit guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement Mayo Clinic nursing vision, mission and values within defined areas of practice.
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate operational, fiscal, and personnel activities to ensure quality patient care.
• Oversee one or more inpatient units based on complexity and size of practice.
• Advocate for and allocate resources to promote safe and compassionate nursing care.
• Promote ongoing staff development and maintain a professional environment.
