Job summary

OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead nursing staff and ensure the plan of care for our inpatient rehabilitation population.

The role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer, directs nursing personnel, and drives patient-centered care, quality outcomes, and staff development while maintaining hospital standards and regulatory compliance. A strong nursing leadership background is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License required.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience.
• BSN or enrollment in BSN program.
• Certified BLS before hire date required.
• Certified ACLS or completion in first 6 months of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Direct assigned nursing personnel and ensure the plan of care for the patient population.
• Provide and oversee patient care in alignment with hospital philosophy and objectives.
• Lead during times of crisis to assure continuity of care and a productive work environment.
• Maintain approved standards of patient care and collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer for continuity of care.
• Promote clinical development, competency and staff expertise to maximize patient outcomes.
• Evaluate performance of professional and non-licensed nursing personnel and participate in interviewing prospective staff.
• Ensure documentation of care, patient family teaching and discharge planning by staff.
• Contribute to smooth unit functioning by directing staff, other departments and families as needed.

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 per year (Based on years of experience)

Sign-on Bonus: $10,000

Responsibilities

As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and working alongside nurses, you will direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant to ensure the plan of care for the patient population.

• Possesses a specialized knowledge base and skills to facilitate patient treatment and staff development.
• Provides and oversees patient care. Implementing hospital and department philosophy and objectives.
• Provides leadership during times of crisis to assure continuity of care and a productive work environment.
• Maintains approved standards of patient care, collaborating with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer. Communicates clinical issues, as they relate to service or program development, to the CNO.
• Promotes clinical development, competency and expertise in staff to maximize patient outcomes.
• Evaluates performance of professional and non-licensed nursing personnel. Cooperated in interviewing prospective staff.
• Assures that all staff are accountable for documenting care provided, patient family teaching and discharge planning on patients to which they are assigned.
• Contributes to the smooth functioning of the unit by providing direction to staff, other departments, and families as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid State RN License required.
• Three to five years experience including supervisory experience required.
• BSN or enrollment in BSN program required.
• Certified BLS before hire date required
• Certified ACLS or completion in first 6 months of employment required

Preferred Experience

• CRRN required after meeting eligibility requirements.
• Clinical experience preferred.
