Select Specialty Hospital Vic Village - Columbus, OH is seeking a Nurse Manager - Registered Nurse (RN) to lead designated nursing units on a 24-hour basis in a full-time capacity. Strong clinical leadership and staffing coordination are essential to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires current RN licensure.
• At least 3 years of clinical practice with leadership.
• 1 year of previous management experience.
• BLS certification by start date.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Guiding, planning and directing hospital activities with ongoing assessment of quality and efficiency.
• Assessing patient care needs and coordinating nursing staff assignments to meet outcomes.
• Coordinating schedules for nursing staff in the area of responsibility.
• Assisting with communication with medical staff and other departments.
• Participating in budget formulation and cost containment for areas of responsibility.
• Maintaining manpower, equipment and supplies utilization.
• Assessing need for staff education and clinical development programs.
• Assuming administrative responsibilities on the unit during designated shifts.
• Supervising nursing care quality and providing written staff evaluations.

Schedule: Full Time / 12-Hour Shifts

Compensation: $115,000-$130,000

Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), you are responsible for maintaining the efficient functioning of designated nursing units on a twenty-four (24) hour basis.

• Guiding, planning and directing hospital activities with ongoing assessment of the quality and efficiency of these activities.
• Assessing patient care needs and coordinating the appropriate assignment of nursing staff in order to facilitate patient attainment of expected outcomes.
• Coordinating schedules for nursing staff assigned to the area of responsibility.
• Assisting with establishing and maintaining communication channels with medical staff and other departments within the hospital.
• Participating in budgetary formulation and cost containment for areas of responsibility.
• Maintaining effective utilization of manpower, equipment and supplies.
• Assessing the need for and assisting in implementation of staff education and clinical development programs.
• Assuming all administrative responsibilities on the unit on designated shifts.
• Supervising the overall nursing care performance, maintaining quality patient care and providing staff assessments with written evaluations at designated intervals.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires current RN licensure.
• At least 3 years of clinical practice experience with an emphasis on leadership.
• 1 year of previous management experience.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications That Will Make You Successful
