The Laurels of University Park in Richmond, VA is seeking a Nurse Manager (RN) to lead and teach our skilled nursing staff and oversee nursing care for residents.

As RN Shift Supervisor you will supervise RNs, LPNs and CNAs; review procedures; assess care systems; participate in MDS/CAA assessments; and develop and implement care plans, delivering compassionate resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an RN.
• Current CPR certification.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.

Responsabilités

• Supervises nursing care provided by RN, LPN and CNA staff.
• Reviews and implements nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates systems enabling quality resident care.
• Uses a systematic nursing process to provide individualized care.
• Contributes to resident assessments (MDS/CAA) and care plans.
• Develops and implements plans of care based on assessment.
• Evaluates residents’ responses to nursing interventions.

Are you an experienced RN with a passion for leading and teaching other skilled nursing staff? The RN Shift Supervisor provides, plans, coordinates or manages nursing care and health education for nursing home residents.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and others


• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.


• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality resident care and performance of staff.


• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.


• Contributes to the resident’s assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a plan of care.


• Develops a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
  
• Evaluates the resident’s responses to nursing interventions.


• Knows the rationale for the effect of medications and treatments and correctly administers the same.

Qualifications:

• Current state license as an RN.


• Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired.


• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing desired.
