Job summary

The Laurels of University Park in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to lead and mentor nursing staff in a skilled nursing facility. The role includes supervising RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, coordinating care, and ensuring high-quality resident outcomes.

A sign-on bonus is offered. The RN Supervisor will review procedures, contribute to MDS/CAA assessments, and develop individualized care plans for residents.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state RN license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise RNs, LPNs and CNAs to ensure quality resident care.
• Review and implement nursing procedures and systems.
• Assess care delivery systems and staff performance.
• Apply nursing process to provide individualized care.
• Contribute to resident assessments and care plans (MDS/CAA).
• Develop and implement care plans based on assessment results.
• Evaluate residents' responses to interventions.
• Understand medication rationale and ensure safe administration.

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor - Sign On Bonus

Are you an experienced RN with a passion for leading and teaching other skilled nursing staff? The RN Shift Supervisor provides, plans, coordinates or manages nursing care and health education for nursing home residents.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and others
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality resident care and performance of staff.
• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Contributes to the resident’s assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a plan of care.
• Develops a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Evaluates the resident’s responses to nursing interventions.
• Knows the rationale for the effect of medications and treatments and correctly administers the same.

Qualifications:

• Current state license as an RN.
• Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing desired.
