Job summary

Ascension Health in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced RN to lead the CVICU team on a day shift. This full-time role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, managing staffing and budgets, and driving high-quality patient care.

You will develop policies, monitor quality metrics, hire and develop staff, and collaborate with physicians to maintain satisfaction and outcomes. Active Wisconsin RN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license required prior to hire.
• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire.
• 3 years nursing experience and 1 year cumulative leadership experience required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s).
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of healthservices in the unit(s).
• Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
• Monitor and adhere to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensurecompliance with budget guidelines.
• Ensure a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction. Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross Accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulativeleadership experience required.
