Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to join its Nursing Leadership Team. The ANM leads a unit, partners with Nurse Managers, ensures staffing, supports care delivery, and aligns with hospital priorities and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, education and mentoring of staff, and participation in budget processes and quality initiatives to sustain high levels of patient safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an RN in Georgia.
• National certification in a clinical or leadership specialty within 2 years.
• Associates Degree; BSN planned within 6 months of hire; BSN to be completed within 3 years.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience with ADN or 3 years RN with BSN; professional organization membership.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit operations, staffing, and care delivery in collaboration with nurse leaders.
• Participate in development and monitoring of budgets, including capital and operating budgets.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and compliance with hospital policies and quality standards.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate staff; support professional practice and education initiatives.
• Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary staff, and other departments; optimize patient flow.
