Job summary

Mercy Health - Youngstown, Ohio seeks a Clinical Nurse II to lead the Care Delivery Team and direct nursing care for a defined patient group. The CN II demonstrates clinical competency, coordinates assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and precepts new employees.

Ohio RN licensure is required, with ongoing CE (Fire Safety, CPR, ACLS). Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential in this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Successful completion of orientation and hospital probation; completes Orientation Checklist.
• Minimum 12 contact hours of continuing education annually including Fire Safety and CPR Re-certification. ACLS is required.
• Theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in providing nursing care; must communicate well verbally and in writing with people of varying backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Care Delivery Team; directs nursing care for a defined patient group.
• Precepts new employees and coordinates independent assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Communicates effectively with diverse teams; reports to Nurse Manager or Administrative Supervisor; supervises LPNs and Patient Care Assistants.
• Full Time - 36 scheduled weekly hours with every 3rd weekend and every other holiday; on-call requirements.
