Job summary
Maryland Department of Health Healthcare System seeks a Nurse Informaticist Specialist to serve as a departmental expert in nursing informatics, clinical information systems, and electronic health records across 11 state-owned facilities. Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or health-related field (or Bachelor's with 2+ years administrative nursing experience).
- Five years of RN experience including two years in administrative/supervisory/teaching roles.
- Current Maryland RN license.
- Ability to translate clinical workflows into IT requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assess nursing workflows across facilities to optimize processes.
- Analyze clinical data for performance improvement and reporting.
- Develop policies relating to nursing informatics and EHR use.
- Lead training initiatives across the multi-facility system.
