UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper is seeking an experienced informatics professional to design, optimize, and maintain clinical information systems across the health system. Under general direction, you will apply clinical expertise, programming and informatics knowledge to support Quality and Safety goals.

You will engage with clinicians and end users, analyze workflows, educate staff on HIT issues, and generate reports from the EHR to drive data-informed decisions.

Formación

• Requires Bachelor's degree in nursing; Master's in informatics preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; relevant certification preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in nursing informatics or HIT.

Responsabilidades

• Engage with subject matter experts, clinicians and end users to implement HIT best practices.
• Research requested system modifications and present to committees.
• Prepare detailed specifications from which build will be accomplished.
• Educate clinicians and patients on clinical information systems and HIT issues.
• Analyze end-user patterns and data to inform improvement strategies and ensure data integrity.
• Advocate for users in planning, implementing and maintaining optimal user experiences.
• Utilize EHR data to generate performance, workflow and quality reports.
• Routinely round with stakeholders to identify data-driven improvement opportunities.
• Mentor and develop departmental/site superusers.
• Coordinate training content/materials with the training team.
