Job summary

AlbanyMed seeks a Clinical Informatics Nurse to bridge nursing practice with information systems. You will plan, design, train, implement, and evaluate CPOE/EMR features, ensuring regulatory alignment and data quality. Serve as a liaison across departments to optimize workflows and reporting.

Under the Director of Informatics, you’ll advance nursing informatics, support training, and collaborate with leadership and IT to drive safe, efficient care through clinical information systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field is required.
• 1-3 years of acute-care nursing or ambulatory/outpatient clinical experience required.
• 1-3 years of EHR implementation experience (super user, trainer, or implementation project team member) required.
• Strong organization, interpersonal communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and supports systems and manages projects directed at improving quality and patient care outcomes using information technology.
• Collaborates with the end user throughout the organization on all computer system related initiatives.
• Coordinates the collection and reporting of outcome metrics associated with the clinical information systems.
• Provides technical support for training and develops super-users to support nursing staff.
