Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Medical City McKinney is seeking a Nurse Educator to advance nursing practice through evidence-based education programs. You’ll lead onboarding, competency development, and educational activities for licensed and non-licensed staff.

The role collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to tailor programs based on outcomes, emphasizes lifelong learning and integration of evidence-based practice, and may involve travel to support facilities across the system.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
Master’s degree in nursing is preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice or active compact state license is required.
BLS certification is required.
Ability to travel up to 25% is required.

Responsibilities

Participates in onboarding and orientation program development, coordination, and evaluation for nursing and health care personnel.
Provides onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluations.
Develops and manages competency activities for staff.
Designs educational activities to address practice gaps for licensed and non-licensed staff.
Plans content delivery to engage learners and improve outcomes.
Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in QI and research.
Encourages lifelong learning and staff skill mastery.
