Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Specialty Nurse Educator to influence patient care through collaborative relationships and national nursing initiatives. The CPDSE will develop evidence-based education, support onboarding, and evaluate practice gaps across the division.

Required are a Bachelor’s in Nursing, 2+ years in clinical education, 3+ years in acute care, and ANCC specialty certification; Master’s preferred. Travel up to 75% will be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of clinical education experience required.
• 3+ years of acute care hospital experience required.
• 3+ years in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• Currently licensed as appropriate to education in the state of practice.
• BLS required.
• Specialty certification recognized by ANCC required.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provides orientation/onboarding to promote employee retention.
• Delivers education in positive learning environments and evaluates competency.
• Identifies learning needs and develops activities to close gaps.
• Plans educational content with learner engagement and outcomes.
• Assesses practice gaps and collaborates with education teams to adjust programs.
• Participates in lifelong learning and uses a novice-to-expert development approach.
• Monitors compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines and reports KPIs.
