Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is seeking a Nurse Educator to enhance professional practice and deliver evidence-based educational programs for nursing and clinical staff at the facility.

You will lead onboarding, competency development, and educational activities to promote lifelong learning and integrate evidence-based practice into daily patient care. This onsite role includes collaboration with leadership and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in acute care hospital preferred.
• Currently licensed as an RN in the state of practice or active compact state license required.
• Nationally Recognized Specialty certification preferred.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Participates in onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Provides orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluation results.
• Participates in development, coordination, and management of competency activities.
• Designs educational activities to address practice gaps for licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Develops activities to improve knowledge, skill, and practice with outcomes.
