Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and Texas RN licensure.
• BSN with 2–3 years experience or MSN preferred.
• If not BSN, enrollment in BSN program with degree within 24 months.
• Must have BLS; ACLS/PALS within specified timeframes; Instructor Trainer Certs when applicable.
• CPI within 24 months for Behavioral Health only.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning needs of staff and patients by providing opportunities to acquire new knowledge, skills and behaviors.
• Organize orientation, continuing education, formal and informal inservices, coaching and consulting.
• Promote evidence-based practice and research within the education program.
• Collaborate with the education department to support recruitment and retention through continuing education.
