Providence St. Vincent Medical Center invites applications for a Nurse Educator - Acute Care Perinatal in Portland, OR.

This full-time exempt position involves a day shift schedule, not remote, with an $8,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible external hires. The Nurse Educator will develop, coordinate, and evaluate educational programs for staff orientation and workforce development within Nursing, fostering lifelong learning and professional growth in a patient-centered care

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • 5 years current clinical and/or educational experience in Nursing

Responsibilities

  • Foster a climate of life-long learning and support professional growth; develop and coordinate educational programs for orientation and workforce development of nursing staff.
  • Promote organizational values and facilitate change and collaboration in adult learning environments.
  • Evaluate educational programs for effectiveness and provide ongoing staff development within the Department of Nursing.

Job description

Nurse Educator - Acute Care Perinatal, Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This is a full time, exempt position. Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, day shift. This is NOT a virtual (remote) position. $8,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's DegreeinNursing.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 5 yearscurrent clinical and/or educational experience in Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years of acute hospital Perinatal experience including Labor and Delivery and electronic fetal monitoring, highly preferred
  • Master's DegreeinNursing or related field. Applicants who are currently enrolled in a graduate program will be considered with an agreement to complete graduate degree within two years
