Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead nursing education initiatives across Hartford HealthCare’s Greater Manchester Region.

The RN will partner with leadership to develop competency programs, onboarding, and professional development—advancing evidence-based practice in a collaborative setting. The role requires a BSN, at least 3 years of clinical nursing experience, and CT licensure with NPD or clinical specialty certification within two years.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment or specialty area.
• NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Uses educational design and adult learning principles to bridge knowledge gaps identified through needs assessment and evaluation.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership to assess learning needs, develops programs, and monitors competency.
• Promotes professional nursing practice and quality patient care per ANA standards.
• Mentors colleagues and supports ongoing professional learning.
• Utilizes tools to capture knowledge, skill, ability judgment and performance during practice.
• Develops, facilitates and evaluates onboarding/orientation programs.
• Acts as a change agent to transform processes at micro, meso and macro levels.
• Encourages scientific inquiry and the use of evidence to advance NPD practice.
• Performs other related duties as required.
