Job summary
Crowne Health Care is seeking a Staff Development RN for our geriatrics-focused long-term care facility. The role centers on directing in-service education, mentoring nursing staff, and coordinating orientation for new hires to ensure quality resident care.
The position requires Alabama RN licensure, LTC experience, and a positive attitude toward the elderly. Training is provided for RNs with LTC exposure, with a Monday–Friday schedule and one weekend monthly on a rotating basis.
Qualifications
- Current Alabama RN License.
- Experience in long-term care nursing.
- Staff Development is a plus, but training is available for RNs with long-term care experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Positive attitude toward the elderly.
Responsibilities
- Direct in-service educational programs and new hire orientation following federal, state, and local standards.
- Ensure the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained.
- Provide nursing staff with clinical and educational support and guidance.
- Plan and implement orientation and mentoring programs for all nursing employees.
- Maintain the nurses' and CNAs' schedules.
- Monday through Friday with rotating call and work one weekend monthly.
