Job summary
UofL Health is seeking an experienced RN – Nursing Professional Development (NPD) 2 in Louisville, KY. This role partners with hospital leadership and the Education Department to advance nursing practice and patient care through curriculum development, competency initiatives, and professional development.

Qualifications
- Master’s degrees in nursing, leadership or education will be acceptable.
- ANCC Specialty certification is required within 6 months of hire.
- ACLS, PALS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program completion may be required based on area of service.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical expert and role model to nursing staff in patient care delivery.
- Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary colleagues to address complex patient care issues.
- Facilitate ongoing education, competency and professional development of nursing staff and students.
- Coordinate onboarding curriculum for newly hired nursing department staff.
- Develop and revise educational materials, programs, and competency strategies.
- Promote lifelong learning and engagement with professional organizations.
