UofL Health is seeking an RN – Nursing Professional Development (NPD) 2 to collaborate with leadership and the Education Department to enhance patient care quality and nursing practice. The role involves education program facilitation, curriculum design, competency initiatives, and professional development across clinical, classroom, and virtual settings.

The NPD 2 will act as a clinical expert, learner facilitator, and interprofessional collaborator, supporting staff competency and safe patient

Competenze

Master's degrees in nursing, leadership or education will be acceptable.
ANCC Specialty certification is required within 6 months of hire.
ACLS, PALS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program completion may be required based on area of service.

Clinical Expert: serve as a role model to nursing staff in the delivery of excellent patient care for designated populations.
Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary colleagues to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate strategies to address complex patient care issues.
Assist staff with clinical decision making and priority setting.
Collaborates with leadership to develop, evaluate, and implement standards of care and professional practice with attention to quality, safety, and cultural competence.
Facilitates ongoing education, competency and professional development of nursing staff and students; coordinates onboarding curriculum.
