Job summary

UofL Health’s JHHS - Jewish Hospital in Louisville seeks an RN – Nursing Professional Development (NPD) II. This role partners with leadership and the Education Department to advance patient care quality through education programs, competency initiatives, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing, leadership, or education.
• ANCC Specialty certification within 6 months of hire.
• Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) acceptable in lieu of KY license.
• ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP may be required depending on area of service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model to nursing staff in delivery of patient care.
• Collaborate with colleagues to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate strategies for complex patient care issues.
• Coordinate onboarding curriculum for newly hired nursing department staff.
• Develop and modify patient education materials and competency strategies.
• Facilitate courses and simulations (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) as appropriate for the area.
