Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to lead nursing care and coordination on a shift.

The CNC collaborates with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing services, serving as a resource and modeling the organization’s mission and values to support outstanding patient experiences and clinical outcomes. The CNC will oversee admissions/discharges, quality assessments, and staff development, while promoting a patient-first culture,

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure or diploma required.
• 1 year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees admission and discharge processes for efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Assesses quality of patient care in collaboration with management.
• Works with experts to foster teamwork and improve patient outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies and rounds to boost engagement.
• Participates in staff interviewing, training, and performance management actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management per productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and equipment/supply management.
