Northwestern Medicine's Deerfield clinic is seeking a full-time Triage Nurse to join a physician's practice. The role triages calls, coordinates care, documents in EMR, and supports patient education while ensuring high-quality service.

Requires RN graduation, IL license, BLS, and 3+ years hospital/outpatient experience; Spanish speaking not required. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited RN program.
• At least 3 years of experience in hospital or outpatient setting.
• Current Registered Nurse License issued by State of Illinois.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Triage all incoming calls and electronic messages, prioritizing and resolving, involving the provider as appropriate.
• Document all communications in the electronic medical record.
• Schedule patient visits with provider when triage indicates.
• Coordinate emergency and hospital transfers, including paperwork and telephone communications.
• Provide education to patients and staff concerning clinical issues.
• Assist in orientation of new staff members and ensure OSHA/CDC guideline adherence.
• For ICCs, float to other ICCs/departments as needed.
