Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a clinical professional to provide medical management for workers' compensation injured employees across the East Lansing area, with travel within a 2-hour radius. The role involves telephonic and in-person case management, coordinating with providers, employers, and claims teams to facilitate safe return-to-work.

Requirements include RN licensure, minimum 3 years acute care clinical experience, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in state of practice.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience in acute care.
• Willingness to travel within approximately a 2 hour radius.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating medical evaluation and treatment.
• Meeting with physician and injured worker to discuss treatment plan and return-to-work goals.
• Keeping employer and referral source updated regarding medical treatment and work status.
• Coordinating ancillary services (home health, DME, PT) and discussing job requirements with employers.
• Discusses and evaluates treatment results with physician and injured worker using Evidence Based Guidelines.
• Documents case management observations, assessment and plan.
• Generates reports for referral source to communicate case status and recommendations.
• Generates ongoing correspondence to referral source, employer, medical providers, injured worker, and others involved in the treatment plan.
• May participate in telephonic case conferences.
• Maintains a minimum caseload of 35 files, and 150 monthly billable hours, with 95% quality compliance.
