Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Nurse Case Manager to provide medical management for workers' compensation injuries in the Louisville, KY area. You will perform telephonic and in-person case management, coordinating with employers and medical providers to return employees to work.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, 3+ years of acute care experience, and the ability to travel within approximately a 2-hour radius.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice or where CM is performed.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must be able to travel within approximately a 2 hour radius.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical evaluation and treatment with injured workers and providers.
• Meet with physicians and workers to discuss treatment plans and return-to-work goals.
• Update employer and referral sources on medical care and work status.
• Coordinate ancillary services (home health, equipment, PT) and discuss job requirements for modified work.
• Document observations, assessments, and plans for case management.
• Generate reports and ongoing correspondence to referral sources and employers.
