Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Nurse/Case Manager to provide medical management for workers’ compensation injuries across a 2-hour travel radius around Allentown. You will coordinate medical care, liaise with physicians, and manage workflows while ensuring timely return-to-work plans.

Requirements include a nursing or medical degree with an active license and 2–4 years of relevant experience; strong communication and MS Office skills are essential. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• RN or medical degree required with active license in state of practice or where case management is performed.
• 2-4 years of work experience in a related role.
• Must be willing to travel within approximately a 2 hour radius.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating medical evaluation and treatment.
• Meeting with physician and injured worker to discuss treatment plan and goals for return to work.
• Keeping employer and referral source updated regarding medical treatment and work status.
• Coordinating ancillary services (home health, durable medical equipment, PT) and communicating job requirements for modified or alternative work.
• Discussing and evaluating treatment plan results with physician and injured worker using Evidence Based Guidelines.
• Documents case management observations, assessments, and plans.
• Generates reports and ongoing correspondence to referral sources, employers, medical providers, and participants.
• Maintains a minimum caseload of 35 files and 150 monthly billable hours with 95% quality compliance.
