Job summary

The Department of Elder Affairs is seeking a Registered Nurse Specialist to perform comprehensive assessments for placement and care planning. The role requires reporting to the serving office, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and adherence to CARES guidelines.

Travel within the state is required and telework is not available. Salary ranges from $57,613.08 to $60,356.40 annually, and the position includes full state benefits.

Qualifications

• RN license active or eligible to practice nursing per Florida Board of Nursing.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; detail oriented.
• Ability to assess and document client information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct comprehensive assessments for nursing facility placement and home and community-based services.
• Maintain medical information and data in CIRTS with timely reporting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for Level of Care decisions and PASRR processes.
• Support disaster recovery and emergency discharge planning within Florida.
