Department of Elder Affairs in Florida seeks a Registered Nurse Specialist to perform comprehensive assessments for facility placement and home-based services, evaluate Level of Care, and recommend placements. The role requires reporting to CARES offices and travel within the service area.

The incumbent collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, maintains confidential medical data, and ensures PASRR compliance while supporting staff training and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida or eligibility to practice per Florida Board of Nursing.
• Travel is required to varied CARES service areas.
• Ability to manage and protect confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive assessments for nursing facility placement and home-based services.
• Maintain and input medical data in CIRTS with timely documentation.
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams for Level of Care decisions.
• Ensure PASRR processes before Level of Care issuance.
• Provide medical in-service training to staff.
• Maintain knowledge of CARES policies and Florida regulations.
