Job summary

Department of Elder Affairs in Florida seeks a Registered Nurse Specialist to perform comprehensive assessments for facility placement and home/community services. You will evaluate Level of Care and participate in interdisciplinary staffing teams to determine the best placement.

Travel within the service area is required, and the incumbent must report to the DOEA office as needed. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license or eligible to practice nursing as defined by the Florida Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct comprehensive assessments for nursing facility placement and home/community services.
• Maintain accurate medical information and input data into CIRTS.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams for Level of Care decisions.
• Ensure PASRR process is completed before Level of Care is issued.
• Report to and coordinate with long-term care networks and providers.
