Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Bourne, MA invites a full-time LPN or RN to join its outpatient treatment program. You will provide medication administration, documentation, and patient education on MAT while supporting admissions and interdisciplinary care. The role includes a $5,000 bonus and a weekend differential in a 40-hour schedule.

Ideal candidates hold MA LPN/RN licensure and CPR, with strong communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team. Benefits include insurance, 401k and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be a MA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in emergencies and everyday care.
• Strong written and oral communication in a culturally diverse setting.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health or acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to clients per policy.
• Count, document and reconcile onsite medications.
• Educate clients on medication assisted treatment: use, purpose and side effects.
• Verify physician orders and transcribe them accurately.
• Assist in admission and document substance use diagnoses as required.

Responsibilities

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.
• Control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.
• Educating clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication assisted treatment.
• Verifying medication orders with the physician and transcribes physician’s orders.
• Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use diagnosis as required.

• Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.
