Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Specialist – Structural Analysis (Nuclear) to provide advanced mechanical analysis supporting nuclear applications. You will evaluate structural, thermal, vibration, and rotor dynamics to ensure designs meet customer requirements, codes, and Flowserve standards.

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, project teams, and customers to tackle complex challenges.

Qualifications

• Nuclear industry experience with engineering, quality, documentation, and design-control expectations.
• Ability to perform structural mechanical analysis using hand calculations and engineering estimates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural, thermal, vibration, torsional, lateral, and rotor dynamic analyses for nuclear and critical-service applications.
• Evaluate designs against customer requirements, codes, and internal standards.
• Use finite element analysis to assess stress, fatigue life, natural frequencies, and dynamic stability.
• Review design changes and assess impact on product integrity and cost.
• Prepare engineering reports and ASME documentation when required.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and customers.
• Support product improvements and development initiatives.
