Flowserve, a global leader in pumps and valves, seeks a Mechanical Engineer Specialist – Structural Analysis (Nuclear) to provide advanced mechanical analysis for nuclear applications. You will perform structural, thermal, vibration, and rotor dynamic analyses using FEA tools and contribute to design reviews and customer-ready documentation.

This role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer teams to solve complex technical challenges and drive product improvements

Qualifications

• Nuclear industry experience with design-control expectations.
• Strong ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.
• Experience with structural, thermal, vibration, and rotor dynamic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural, thermal, vibration, torsional, lateral, and rotor dynamic analyses for nuclear and other critical-service applications.
• Evaluate pressure-containing and rotating equipment designs against customer requirements and codes.
• Use finite element analysis and hand calculations to assess stress, fatigue life, and dynamic stability.
• Review design changes and determine impacts on integrity, performance, manufacturability, and cost.
• Prepare engineering calculations and ASME documentation when required.
• Review customer specifications and supplier submissions for mechanical acceptability.
• Participate in design reviews, root cause analyses, quality audits, and corrective actions.
• Communicate analysis findings and recommendations with internal teams and customers.
