Flowserve Corporation seeks a Mechanical Engineer to perform structural, thermal, vibration, fatigue, and rotor-dynamic analyses of nuclear and other critical-service equipment using finite element methods and hand calculations. You will prepare calculations, review specs, and collaborate with teams, customers, and suppliers on technical issues and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Nuclear industry experience and the ability to perform mechanical structural analysis using sound engineering judgment are required.
• A mechanical engineering degree is preferred; relevant experience with rotating equipment, finite element tools, ASME codes, 3D modeling, and engineering documentation is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural, thermal, vibration, fatigue, and rotor-dynamic analyses of nuclear and other critical-service equipment using finite element methods and hand calculations.
• Prepare engineering calculations and reports, review specifications and design changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers on technical issues, quality activities, and product improvements.
