Flowserve is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Specialist – Structural Analysis (Nuclear) to provide advanced mechanical analysis support for Flowserve products and nuclear applications. You will evaluate structural, thermal, vibration, and rotor dynamic performance to ensure designs meet customer requirements and Flowserve standards.

Qualifications

• Nuclear industry experience and familiarity with nuclear engineering expectations.
• Ability to perform structural mechanical analysis using hand calculations and estimates.
• Clear English communication and collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with design reviews, documentation, and ASME code familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Perform structural, thermal, vibration, torsional, lateral, and rotor dynamic analyses for nuclear/critical-service applications.
• Evaluate designs against customer specs, codes, and internal standards.
• Use FEA tools and hand calculations to assess stress, fatigue, and dynamic stability.
• Review design changes and their impact on integrity, performance, manufacturability, and cost.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and ASME documentation as required.
• Review customer specs and supplier submissions for mechanical acceptability.
• Participate in design reviews, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to internal teams and customers.
