Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own and manage the nuclear QA audit program in alignment with ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and verify corrective actions to closure.

Your independence from audited work and strong documentation will support NRC and licensee audits. The role requires extensive experience in nuclear QA, auditable to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21, with travel to project sites and Sugar Land HQ.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Hands-on auditing experience to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• Auditing reports that NRC inspectors can follow with no extra explanation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead internal audits and supplier audits from notification to closure.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Write audit reports and verify corrective actions for closure with evidence.
• Support owner, licensee, and NUPIC-style audits of the program.
