Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own and manage the nuclear QA audit program, aligned with ASME NQA-1 requirements. You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and supervise a qualified audit team.

Responsibilities include evaluating safety-related suppliers, writing findings, and ensuring corrective actions close with objective evidence. Travel to project sites and Sugar Land HQ may be required.

Qualifications

• Current NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or eligible within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing.
• Familiar with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21 and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA may be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead internal and supplier audits end-to-end with the audit team.
• Evaluate suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Classify findings, issue corrective actions, verify closure with evidence.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits.
• Write audit reports that NRC inspectors could follow without additional discussion.
• Travel to project sites and supplier facilities as scheduled.
