Job summary

Terrestrial Energy is seeking a Project Coordinator to support planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of project controls across IMSR programs. You will help ensure accurate schedules, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communications in a regulated advanced nuclear technology environment.

Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with engineering, safety, QA, and licensing teams, and coordinate with procurement and external partners to align program

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of work experience in project planning or coordination for complex engineering projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise across the organization.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Visio for scheduling and documentation.
  • High computer proficiency and quick adaptability to new software tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify root causes and devise resolution strategies.
  • Experience coordinating projects with external suppliers and laboratories.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze project data, including task durations, resource allocations, and milestone dependencies, to prepare detailed schedule and status updates.
  • Support schedule forecasts by analyzing activities, calculating monthly cost accruals, and maintaining the change log.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and national labs to integrate schedules into overall programs.
  • Track resource allocation and identify bottlenecks for proactive mitigation.
  • Develop standardized project controls templates and best practices to ensure consistent execution.
  • Prepare project progress reports, dashboards, and variance analyses for stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and support document control and external interfaces.
  • Facilitate meetings, capture minutes, and track action items to ensure follow-through.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Provide training on project controls processes and tools to team members.
