Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineer 1 to contribute to the Nuclear Power Group by designing and modernizing electrical systems for existing plants, SMRs, and advanced reactor facilities. You will learn through supervision and work on protection studies, cable sizing, MCCs, transformers, and safety-related analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering with power systems knowledge.
• ABET-accredited program preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering calculations and design tasks for large nuclear plants.
• Use ETAP to perform power system analysis and modeling.
• Assist with selection and integration of electrical power equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with client stakeholders.
• Translate concepts into detailed drawings and project deliverables.
• Work within fixed schedules and budgets and support licensure pathways.
• Gain exposure to site procedures and on-site walkdowns.
