Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineer 1 to join the Nuclear Power Group in the Charlotte area. You will help design and modernize critical electrical systems for nuclear plants, engage in power systems analyses with ETAP, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver safe, reliable solutions.

You will work under supervision, develop professional skills toward licensure, and gain access to onsite walkdowns and project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong understanding of electrical power concepts and power systems analysis
• Ability to apply engineering principles to project designs
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering calculations and design tasks for large nuclear power stations
• Use ETAP to perform power system analyses and modeling
• Assist with selection and integration of major electrical power equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in reviews
• Gain exposure to station procedures and interface with client stakeholders
