Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Nuclear Power Group to support design and modernization of electrical systems for nuclear plants and SMR concepts. You will work under senior engineers, gain hands-on experience, and learn industry standards and project processes.

Responsibilities include assisting with calculations, DC/AC system sizing, protective studies, and power equipment integration while engaging with Operations, Systems Engineering, and drafting teams.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering calculations and design tasks for large nuclear plants.
• Utilize ETAP to perform power systems analysis and modeling.
• Assist with design, selection, and integration of major electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with client stakeholders.
