Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for their Nuclear Power Group in the United States. You will work on design tasks for electrical systems in existing nuclear plants, SMRs, and advanced reactors, under supervision from senior engineers. This role emphasizes hands‑on learning, training, and teamwork across engineering disciplines.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program in Electrical Engineering, with solid coursework, strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with strong academics.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and modernizing electrical systems for nuclear plants and related projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations and design tasks for safety-related systems.
• Use ETAP to perform power systems analysis and modeling.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and client stakeholders to deliver designs on schedule.
• Gain exposure to procedures and lifecycle of nuclear projects.
